Alumni, Leaders, Mentors & Associates (A.L.M.A.) is a community of leading business school alumni.

A.L.M.A. unites alumni from business schools who share a common purpose: to make a positive impact on society through education, mentorship, and the utilization of our extensive networks. Our primary objective is to initiate programs that provide underserved young students with the resources they need to secure employment and uplift both their families and communities.

Our Team

Afsana Amarsy, born in Madagascar, is leading the project. As the Chair of the Harvard Crossroads Emerging Leaders Program, she led an initiative to offer curated HarvardX Online courses to thousands of students every year and bring 100 students to the one-week Harvard Program conducted in Dubai by Harvard Business School professors.

She has recently launched Wings of Change, a non-profit hotel vocational school in Madagascar.

Goulam Amarsy, born in Madagascar, has 35 years of experience in hotel development and management. Goulam launched Barcelo Hotel Group Gulf and is active in hotel vocational schools in Oman. He is also the President Emeritus of the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of the GCC.

Oman-based NHI is the leading provider of quality vocational training for the Hospitality, Catering, Retail, and Travel Industries in the Gulf region. NHI has trained over 10,000 students over it’s 29-year history.
